Pediatric rehabilitation at OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois is committed to providing rehabilitation services throughout the regions we serve. We offer occupational, physical, speech and feeding therapies that include comprehensive evaluations and treatment, for newborns to young adults, with a variety of diagnoses. Our therapists use creative play and clinical therapy to develop the skills children need. Our team provides a family-centered approach, including home programming and parent education, as an important part of our services. Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $46.03/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: The Speech Therapist assists patients in the restoration or development of swallowing, speech and communication functions through evaluation and treatment. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Masters Licenses/Certifications: Respective state temporary license with the supervision of a Licensed Speech Pathologist for 18 months Respective state temporary license while completing Clinical Fellowship Year or respective state license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience as Speech Pathologist Valid state driver's license, as verified through the respective state Department of Motor vehicles driving record abstract. Analytical ability to administer and evaluate standardized speech/language tests, conduct swallowing evaluations, evaluate patients' capabilities, develop treatment plans and monitor patients' progress.
