Speech Pathologist (PRN)
Overview New Grads are encouraged to apply! Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $46.03/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. OSF Rehabilitation at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Group is a hospital-based department that provides therapy services to inpatients and outpatients. This team consists of a fun and diverse group! We have therapists and assistants who specialize in a variety of areas including but not limited to: aquatic therapy, orthopedics, pediatrics, LSVT Big (Parkinson’s disease) and other neurological diagnoses, vestibular problems, balance, and concussion management. Our occupational therapists enjoy seeing patients with orthopedic diagnosis from the shoulder to the hand, neurological diagnosis, lymphedema, and pediatric patients who may have sensory dysfunction, feeding and eating issues and developmental delay. A clinic focused on evidence-based practice, teamwork and collaboration creates a positive environment for both patients and co-workers. In addition, OSF Healthcare qualifies for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness program POSITION SUMMARY: The Speech Pathologist assists patients in the restoration or development of swallowing, speech and communication functions through evaluation and treatment. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master’s degree Licensure/Certification: Respective state temporary license with the supervision of a Licensed Speech Pathologist for 18 months. Respective state temporary license while completing Clinical Fellowship Year or respective state license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech Language. Hearing Association (ASHA) Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous experience as Speech Pathologist Licensure/Certification: Valid state driver's license, as verified through the respective state Department of Motor vehicles driving record abstract. Other Skills/Knowledge: Analytical ability to administer and evaluate standardized speech/language tests, conduct swallowing evaluations, evaluate patients' capabilities, develop treatment plans and monitor patients' progress.
