Speech Therapist Outpatient- Pediatric Therapy - PRN 1st Shift

The Speech Therapist assumes primary responsibility for evaluation of the patient, planning, implementing, supervising, reevaluating and changing the treatment program.  The therapist maintains adequate records and documents the appropriate progress reports and patient education.  The therapist supervises support staff and students as assigned.


Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

 

Education: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in the area of Speech Therapy/Communication Disorders, ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology or eligible to begin CFY with successful completion of nation exam, Alabama license in Speech Pathology or applicant with licensure pending CFY completion required.  Must receive BCLS certification within orientation period.

 

Experience:  Prefer clinical work with adults with speech/language/swallowing/voice disorders and training/experience for participation in Modified Barium Swallows and operation of Videostroboscopic equipment.

 

Additional Skills/Abilities:  Must have excellent communication skills with the ability and willingness to work with all patients in a fast-paced environment.
