This position is responsible for ensuring that the Cook Room is supplied with the proper spices, according to the production schedule. This position is also responsible for ensuring that all Food Safety requirements are met and correct including all PCP’s. Responsible for ensuring that all documentation is correct and accurate. **Employee Type:** Full time **Location:** TX San Antonio **Job Type:** Production Group **Job Posting Title:** Spice Room Tech II (2nd Shift) **Job Description:** **Schedule:** Monday through Friday with Saturdays as needed: 2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm **Work Location:** 5310 Historic Old Hwy 90, San Antonio, TX 78227 **Benefits** : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with match, STD/LTD/AD&D/Life, HSA, FSA, EAP, Hospital Indemnity, Accident Insurance, Identity and Fraud Protection Plan, Legal, and Critical Illness. **Salary, based on experience and other qualifications:** *2nd Shift: $23.29 per hour plus $1.00 night shift differential **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:** + Perform a pre inspection of Spice Room area prior to operation + Perform a pre inspection of all ingredients prior to operation + Follow all published SOP’s + Properly sets up the Spice Room area with all necessary components /materials and scan in SAP. + Properly track and confirm all finished product in SAP + Properly track and report all scrap in SAP + Ensure all trash is properly disposed of per SOP’s + Ensure all ingredients are weighed properly and labeled. + Ensure all reprocess is used in a timely manner from kitchen cooler + Must keep work area clean and free of debris + All other tasks as assigned by the supervisor + Must adhere to all safety policies + Ensure that no extraneous materials are released into spices + Immediately notify supervisor and QA of any food safety issue + Must be Forklift and standup certified + Must be SAP certified to keep track and report + Perform sanitation duties as required by quality **QUALIFICATIONS (** **Knowledge and Critical Skill Requirements):** + High School Diploma or GED equivalent required + Validation on position or machine will be required after initial training + Must be dependable, reliable and mature enough to handle equipment safely and sensibly with little supervision + Ability to follow verbal and written instruction, as well as basic math calculations + Must be able to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment + Must be able to work on all lines and perform all positions, including changeovers + Must be able to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays/Sundays, as determined by business needs + Experience in manufacturing or production preferred. + Experience working with manufacturing equipment preferred + Mechanical aptitude **EEO Statement:** Winland Foods seeks to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool, and as a global company we believe our success is enhanced by fostering equity and inclusion in the workplace.
