Spiritual Care Administrative Summer Intern

The Administrative Intern for the Spiritual Care department is responsible for partnering with the manager in support of the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program. This role works with the department’s manager, contract chaplains, staff chaplains, contingency workers and volunteers who provide spiritual support services to our patients, family members and team members. The responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
Organizational
Assist in answering phone & directing caller to services Implement accreditation updates to educational portfolio, as well as Student Handbook Support content creation and internal communication efforts for the department Create alumni network database and news letters Assist in preparing and communicating information and instruction for chaplains Design and prepare patient & team members materialsPlanning & Executing
Plan and coordinate regional CPE Day educational event Coordinate special events and activities to support team members and as needed patient requests, i.e., baptisms/weddings/funerals Collaborate with the team in creating a social media presence on Workplace (AHS’ Internal Communication Platform)Research & Reporting
Project manage efforts around spiritual care and patient experience Gather details and prepare reports for Medicare
