What you’ll do

We will look to you to complete timely spiritual assessment and initiation of appropriate services for patients and families in the hospice program. You’ll provide direct spiritual care and may receive a request for spiritual care consultation anytime of the day or night by either phone or in-person visit. Most of all, you’ll make sure that you’re identifying the spiritual needs of each patient and their families.

 

What it takes

High school diploma or equivalent requiredGraduate from an accredited seminary or school of theology; or ordained minister in good standing with the denomination from which e/she was ordainedTwo years experience counseling or working with individuals, families, and caregivers related to death and dying requiredExperience in a home health, hospice, or long-term care healthcare setting preferredComfortable in an interfaith setting and have ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and valuesValid drivers license and acceptable driving record required Location Information
