Job Description

The Intern will work in the Spiritual Care department assisting with the Bereavement Care Program. This person will work alongside the Bereavement Coordinator in program development, administrative responsibilities, and attending meetings.  

Project/position description:  

Administrative responsibilities: oversight of bereavement email inbox and referral to bereavement coordinator for follow up  

Attends bereavement care meetings and assists with meeting minutes  

Will assist bereavement coordinator in interviewing bereaved parents for Family Advisory Council  

Help with PowerPoint presentations   

Data tracking & reporting   

Education

College or graduate student that is currently working towards a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration or other related field, required

Qualifications: 

Progression toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field; Religious Studies undergrad or Master of Divinity degree preferred 

Knowledge and comfort with the subject of death, dying, and bereavement   

Strong work ethic and demonstrated initiative   

Strong writing, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills  

Solid process, analytical, problem solving and time management skills  

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills  

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), experience with Microsoft TEAMS preferred
