The role you’ll contribute:
AdventHealth seeks to fill a full-time spiritual caregiver II position. This is a unique opportunity to work within the E- Spiritual Care Center—a referral-based call center—which functions as a significant source of contact for patient spiritual care and support services. We are looking for a team player to join our staff of enthusiastic, competent, service-oriented personnel who contribute to our reputation as one of the best faith-based health care organizations in the industry. In this position, you will serve as a resource to each patient with their unique spiritual concerns, may help to provide more in-depth understanding of religious beliefs that influence medical decisions and support patients navigate sensitive ethical issues. The ideal candidate must have a heart and desire for ministry and a love of people. Must be comfortable being on the telephone for lengthy periods of time and be able to convey care and concern through their voice. Must be computer savvy, have quick typing skills, be comfortable with the facsimile, possess an exceptional attention to detail and be a good steward of their time.

Assesses spiritual needs of patients and provides appropriate interventions with consideration to growth development needs and age group
Receives referrals from E-Spiritual Care Center (E-SCC) manager, and follows up on these referrals within 48 hours
Responds to incoming calls
Completes a new referral and/or in progress referral activity log in the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
Conduct necessary follow-up on outbound and incoming call inquires
Develops a spiritual care plan for patients by identifying objectives, interventions and desired outcomes
Receive and distribute messages to outpatient entity staff and service providers
Available for various shifts as scheduled by the Spiritual Care Manager
Communicates appropriate information for patient’s medical record, through documentation on the Spiritual Care Consult form
Utilizes knowledge of different levels of growth, development, and skills for various ages and demographics of patient care
May participate in the training of new caregivers in conjunction and under the direction of the E-Spiritual Care Center Manager and Spiritual Care Manager.
May serve as a first point of contact for new and less experienced caregivers to provide reminders, refreshers, and ongoing training.
May manage sensitive and difficult cases as directed by the E-Spiritual Care Manager and Spiritual Care Manager.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Minimum of three (3) units of Clinical Pastoral Education, accredited by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (“ACPE”) or a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Caregiver I.
Master’s Degree of Religion or Theology
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Congregational pastoral experience
Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education
Experience within the AdventHealth organization
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
