Who we’re looking forToyota’s Corporate Marketing Department is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Sponsorship Marketing Manager.
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee sponsorships and development of full sponsorship portfolio strategy as well as KPI setting and measurement/tracking (NFL, National Governing Body Relationships, Multicultural Agency Sponsorship Related Properties, Culture, Music and Lifestyle partnerships)This role is located in Plano, TX, and is hybrid in nature, with a mix of in-office days and some days working remotely; this could change in the future based on business needs. Candidates are expected to live within a commutable distance to Plano, TX. There is no company-paid relocation assistance for this role.

What you’ll be doing

Work with Sr. Manager to implement a Sponsorship strategy for Marketing that is driven by strategic insights that support Toyota’s brand goals. Develop and communicate strong KPI’s supporting the strategy.   This includes ongoing evaluation of existing and potential partnerships that benefit Toyota.   Establish processes and procedures that support the overarching strategy and communicate and gain consensus with key stakeholders on those policies and procedures.Manage and mentor a team of 1 senior planner, 1 planner, and 1 Sponsorship coordinator to ensure that all of TMNA sponsorships are strategically aligned with TMNA Brand and business objectives. Ensure that team members have all the tools necessary to activate and maximize all sponsorships. Work closely with all internal stakeholders, sponsorship partners and supporting agencies –to develop strong working relationships and deliver on partnership contractual obligations.  Develop a tracking and communication system with Media team to ensure obligations of partners are being met and Kaizen opportunities are realized.Serve as primary interface with NFL and all Partners on campaign development that supports owned, earned and paid distribution. Implement and evaluate a  full measurement process that allows key stakeholders to evaluate existing and potential sponsorship opportunities that support business objectives and align with the sponsorship strategy.Lead overarching department budget and financial processes and milestones that will guide the department throughout the fiscal year. (Annual and Quarterly plans and forecasts)Work closely with TMNA Legal to ensure contracts and all related production elements meet legal requirements. 

What you bring

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, or a related fieldExperience in daily security and/or emergency operations management.Strong understanding of Automotive/manufacturing culture and ability to adjust communication style accordingly.  Marketing experience and working with agencies Experience creating compelling, easy-to-understand, visually appealing presentations that effectively communicate to both executive and broad audienceUnderstanding of marketing metrics and analytics and you excel at providing data-driven decision support and business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionableUnderstanding of complex media plans, defining and identifying KPIs, tools, and technologies, and applying post-mortem learnings to future campaigns.Must be able to travel as much as 50%+ during peak production season

Added bonus if you have

Advanced degree:  MBA preferred.Experience in overseeing large 3rd party security operations and vendors.Relevant sponsorship marketing experience.Bi/multi-lingual (particularly Japanese)
