Sponsorship & Premium Sales Manager at The Oncenter

Legends/ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Sponsorship & Premium Sales Manager in Syracuse at their locally managed facilities, The Oncenter & Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview. This position is responsible for generating revenue from clients through the sale of sponsorship opportunities, premium experiences, premium seating, and hospitality packages for the applicable Syracuse venues. This individual will effectively and profitably manage all day-to-day aspects of sponsorship and premium services sales and operation, including sponsorship activation, Club/Lounge programs, Personal Seat License Sales, premium seating, and all other pertinent areas of services. This position will be responsible for achieving measurable financial results. __________________________________________ Department: Marketing Reports To: Director of Marketing FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt Pay Rate: From $60,000 + Commission Opportunities Facility: The Oncenter / Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview __________________________________________ THE ROLE Under direct supervision of the General Manager and Director of Marketing, the successful candidate will plan, direct, and implement sponsorship and premium sales strategies to maximize revenue opportunities, foster profitable long-term relationships with corporate and small business partners, and contribute to the overall financial success of our venues. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of establishing and delivering on sales goals and developing strategies that increase profitability and recurring net revenues. WHAT TO EXPECT Sponsorship Sales + Identify and target potential corporate sponsors across diverse industries. + Develop customized sponsorship proposals that align with client objectives and the company’s goals; recommend pricing strategies that result in profitable growth. + Negotiate and close sponsorship agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships. Execute associated sales contracts and addendums. + Work cross-functionally to integrate sponsor branding across events, venues, and digital platforms. + Research, analyze, and monitor local and regional financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities. + Track and report sponsorship performance to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations. Premium Seating Sales + Develop and implement strategies to sell premium seating products, including suites, club seats, and VIP packages. + Prospect and cultivate new sales through creative lead generation methods, communicating via phone, email, text, social media, face-to-face meetings, and other communication methods. + Develop proposals, presentations, and contracts for potential and high-priority clients, always maintaining confidentiality and demeanor. + Build and manage relationships with premium seating clients to ensure excellent service and renewal opportunities. + Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling campaigns that highlight premium offerings. Client Relationship Management + Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with sponsors and premium clients. + Execute all aspects of the sales and booking process to include outbound communication, networking, responding to inquiries, venue walk-throughs, assessment of client needs, and the generation of estimates to finalize sales. + Act as the primary point of contact for sponsors and premium seat holders to address inquiries and resolve issues. + Communicate cross-departmentally to execute Premium events, working with the Box Office, Marketing, Food and Beverage, Operations, and Production staff, as well as Front of House volunteers. + Host sponsor activations and client events to enhance engagement and value. Revenue Generation & Reporting + Meet and exceed annual revenue targets for sponsorships and premium seating sales driving profitability and annual recurring net revenues, preparing bi-weekly reports on sales revenue pipeline and projections. + Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and client communications in CRM systems. + Develop and implement strategies for generating incremental revenue from existing clients. + Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on sales performance and market trends. + Provide prompt and professional communication and service to premium clientele. + Foster a productive, team-oriented relationship with staff, clients, and agencies associated with each venue to ensure sponsor and premium clientele obligations are met. + Oversee the operation of premium spaces, including staffing, training, event and activation set-up, coordination with internal teams, and the day-of management as needed. + Be available to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the event schedule. Travel as necessary for client meetings and networking events. + Always maintain high standards, positive attitude, and professional appearance. + Work within the guidelines set forth in ASM's Management Credo. + Assist with other tasks as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE + Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sports management, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university. + Minimum of 2+ years of successful sales & service management experience required. + Minimum of 2+ years supervisory experience preferred. + Minimum of 2+ years in venue, property, or rights holder sponsorship sales, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. + Sports/Entertainment venue experience preferred. SKILLS YOU’LL NEED + Proficiency with standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint. + Proven ability to work independently, exercise judgment and initiative with minimal supervision. + Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to develop strong working relationships with partners, teammates, and other stakeholders. + Skilled in analyzing data, developing concise recommendations, and presenting results and suggestions to leadership. + Must be an excellent negotiator. + Demonstrated success in prospecting, cold calling, maintaining client relations, and salesmanship. + Ability to manage a high level of detail across multiple projects and to prioritize efficiently. + High emotional intelligence, intellectual curiosity, and desire to grow professionally. + Ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines independently. + Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while remaining organized, efficient, and calm under pressure. + Understanding that role requires working extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. + The ideal candidate will be someone that is well connected within the region with unique business relationships in the community, who can “hit the ground running”; will have outstanding communication skills, with a fantastic personality and positive attitude and with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
