Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.

The Sports Book supervisor will have an understanding of Sport Book betting structures and back of the house systems. Sports Book supervisor will monitors the Sports Book operation, providing assistance to the Sports Book attendants, and guests. Supervisors will monitor transactions ensuring property Title 31 compliance. The Sports Book supervisor will report to the Sports Book Managers.

Monitor and supervise Sports Book team for adherence to company policies, procedures, Title 31 and minimum internal control standards, and applicable jurisdiction regulations and laws.Close out drawer/vault attendants at the end of their shifts, ensuring that all money and supporting documentation has been accounted for and secured appropriately. Verifying cash drawers, complete reports, rate casino customer activity, and monitor sports book for suspicious activityPrepare and stock all the daily sports sheets. Ensure compliance with currency transaction requirements, Title 31, and money laundering and Suspicious Activity Reporting for Casinos (SARC) requirements.Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests as needed.Notify leadership team of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity.Approves and denies wagers from guests as permitted.Updates and maintains all customer sheets.Monitors all monies being wagered and updates the betting odds according to policy.Handles guest disputes quickly and effectively within the level of their authority.Assists with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling employees.Promotes safety awareness to minimize work related injuries.Maintains knowledge of property information.Other job-related duties as requested. Minimum two years’ experience in Sports or related guest service position with high-volume, cash-handling

High school diploma or equivalent GED

Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written forms

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS

For every year of employment, Employee must:

Obtain and maintain a Michigan Gaming Control Board Level Two (2) Gaming license.Must successfully complete and maintain TIPS training.Valid Government-issued Identification
