University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a BC/BE Primary Care Sports Medicine physician to join the multispecialty practice at CentraCare-M Physicians Orthopedics in St. Cloud, MN.
CentraCare-M Physicians Orthopedics blends the best in conservative and surgical treatment for bone, muscle and joint problems provided by our subspecialty teams in Sports Medicine, Shoulder and Elbow, Foot and Ankle, Adult Reconstruction and Trauma surgery.
This position is part of team of 10 surgeons, 1 full-time and 2 part-time Primary Care Sports Medicine Physicians and 10 APPs. The practice is the preferred provider of orthopedic care for CentraCare, the largest healthcare system in Central Minnesota, with the additional resources and expertise of M Physicians and the University of Minnesota Department of Orthopedics. The incumbent will have abundant opportunity to innovate and lead as the practice expands and evolves.
Practice Details:
Provide primary care sports medicine care at CentraCare-M Physicians Orthopedics.
Patient encounters average 20-22 patients per day. Clinics are located at CentraCare Plaza and Monticello Hospital, with other future sites in the St. Cloud area possible. Clinic duties will include coverage of the Walk-in Clinic.
Physicians work collaboratively within a large network of both primary care and specialty physicians throughout CentraCare including partners at the University of Minnesota, which includes many subspecialists through an extensive outreach program.
The clinical practice site includes a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
Physicians work an expectation of 36 patient contact hours per week.
Occasional 'event' coverage for sports activities aligned with CentraCare-M Physicians Orthopedics strategic priorities
Patients requiring hospitalization are admitted to the hospitalist or orthopedic service at St. Cloud Hospital.

2-year market competitive salary with ability to exceed on production compensation program

Qualifications:
Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Sports Medicine fellowship training program and Board Certified/Board Eligible with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association.
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
