The Sports MMJ will help deliver more than just scores and highlights. Queen City News produces the NIGHTLY 30-minute sports show, Charlotte Sports Live (CSL). TEAM CSL is looking for a five-tool player who can produce, shoot, edit and provide a positive attitude toward its plethora of shows including CSL, Black & Blue Kickoff Live, Around The Track and more. The Sports MMJ should be able to produce a daily show (conceptualize, stack, write, booth), turn stories for TV/digital and anchor when needed. Everyone on the team jumps in to do every job. If you want to put the team first and you KNOW you are ready to join one of the most decorated sports teams in the country, then we’d be happy to have you apply. + Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience + Fluency in English + Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required + Extensive knowledge of the Carolina sports scene + Minimum two years’ experience in news/sports reporting (Depending on market size) + Superior on-air presence + Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere and Photoshop + Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously + Valid driver’s license with a good driving record + Flexibility to work any shift, weekends expected + Must have knowledge of the CSL product.
