Responsibilities Schedules and publicizes tournaments, and other sports events. Solicits volunteer and paid services for activities. Evaluates the effectiveness of sports activities program objectives. Develops program plans and requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience in planning, supervising, administering or carrying out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports and guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities and teaching the techniques of various sports. This experience may have been gained managing or administering a sports program in a community, industrial activity, or secondary school or college; planning, teaching or evaluating a physical education curriculum for secondary or higher academic levels; or managing, umpiring, or officiating at amateur or professional athletic events, competitions, or games. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level. An undergraduate degree in physical education may be fully qualifying for this position. Highly Qualified Criteria: 1. 2-3 years of Family and MWR experience 2. 1-2 years of Intramural and Community Level Sports involvement 3. 1-2 years of budgeting and procurement experience (i.e., budget formulation, contracts, BPAs, etc.) 4. Relevant training and education (i.e., bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science, Sports Management, Recreation, Marketing, Business, or closely related field) 5. Relevant experience (i.e., league/tournament execution, officiating, certified clinician, etc.) 6. Possess the following certifications: CPR, First Aid and AED 7. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Claimed experience must be verifiable through your resume. Assumptions will not be made.
