Under direction from the Sports Book Lead Supervisor, is responsible for direct supervision of Sports Book writers.

Skills You'll Need to Succeed

Supervises the daily Sports Book operations on the Casino floor for an assigned shift.Enforces Casino regulatory rules and regulations and Casino internal controls and accounting controls in order to safeguard the company’s assets.Assists in monitoring business demands and makes necessary scheduling and staffing adjustments. Assists the Sports Book Assistant Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Sports Book to include training, counseling, and supervision of employees.Monitors all monies being wagered and updates the betting odds according to company policy. Assists with the creation of the writer tills.Authorizes winning tickets over specified limits and approves and refuses sports wagers as appropriate.Maintains and balances a till for use in issuing and redeeming tickets when necessary.Must be aware of all Title 31 procedures and logging.Promotes superior guest service to both internal and external guests.Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with all departments.Handles guest service and employee-related issues with composure and professionalism.Authorized to extend complimentary services in accordance with the approved comp matrix.Assumes the responsibilities of the Assistant Sports Book Manager in his/her absence.Performs other related duties as assigned.Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls and the state gaming agency.Perform other duties as assigned

Skills You'll Need to Succeed

Previous supervisory experience required.Prior sports and sports betting knowledge is preferredMust have a thorough knowledge of approved Responsible Gaming Program.Basic computer input skills.  Excellent written and verbal communication skill.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Self-starter; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment to drive both strategy and execution.Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.

A Few Must Haves

High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.Must be able to qualify for and maintain license as required by the State Gaming Agency.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.Ability to ascend and descend stairs.Ability to stoop, bend and reach outward and above the head.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
