**Aerotek Is Hiring For Spot Welder's In Binghamton, NY** **Job Description** Are you a skilled welder looking for an exciting opportunity? Join our team as a Spot Welding Operator! In this role, you'll be responsible for spot welding components according to work order instructions and customer drawing specifications. You'll work with a variety of production tasks, including holding jigs to meet dimensional specifications. **Responsibilities** + Set up spot welds to the appropriate heat, tip, and AC forge delay. + Ensure setups are acceptable based on visual and strength tests. + Select necessary tooling for applications. + Perform spot weld operations as required by drawing specifications. + Change and dress electrodes. + Sand spot welds. + Utilize rigs equipment for positioning work. + Perform self-inspections during the process. + Handle parts and materials properly to avoid personal injury or product damage. + Carry out maintenance duties as needed. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years' experience in welding. + 1+ years' experience in manufacturing. + Experience in Weld, Fabrication, Mig welding, Robotics, Flux core, Tig, Mig. + Ability to read drawings, and follow verbal directions and sketches. + Proficient in basic shop math. + Manual dexterity. + Troubleshooting skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Positive attitude. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED. + 1+ years' experience setting up and operating resistance welders. **Why Work Here?** Join a rapidly growing company with endless opportunities for advancement!
