What you’ll be doing:
Retail Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the store. Plans and coordinates sales, merchandising, scheduling. Ensures excellent customer service is provided. Provides outstanding customer service and acts as an on-site ambassador for Staples Promotional Products.
Manage and motivates store associates to increase sales and ensure efficiencyEnsure standards for quality customer serviceManage stock levels, make key decisions about stock control, place replenishment ordersMonitor sales figures, forecast future sales, provide reporting and identify ways to increase salesProvide training, coaching and development to sales associatesRespond to customer complaints/commentsProcessing online order returnsMaintain a well-stocked and visually pleasing store, merchandise the store on a regular basis, setting up displays, coordinating off site eventsComplete store scheduling and assigning tasksOpen and close the store, monitor cash flow, balances EOD POST systems to ensure case draw and transactions are accurateWhat you bring to the table:
Understanding Inventory and sales reportingProduct purchasing and sourcingExperience with people managementKnowledge of retail store operations and inventory managementAbility to strategically merchandise product mix within a retail environmentKnowledge and ability to manage budgetsWhat's needed - Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degreeAdvanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Word & Excel and P.O.S. systemsA minimum of 2 years previous supervisory experience in a retail environmentWhat's needed - Preferred Qualifications
