About the Role:

Join our Nu Skin Device team as a Product Development Intern and gain hands-on experience working alongside mechanical engineers, scientists, and app and firmware developers. Reporting to the Director of Connected Devices, you’ll contribute to the design, construction, manufacturing, and maintenance of innovative Nu Skin devices. Be part of the team behind the World’s #1 Beauty and Wellness Device Systems.

What you'll do:Assist Nu Skin mechanical engineers in the planning, conceptualization, and creation of mechanical and electromechanical designs for new products in 2D and 3D using CAD systems.Test prototypes and iterations of developed products to ensure optimal performance including mechanical, electrical, and software functionalities.Work with engineers and marketing staff to include industrial design elements into the overall mechanical design including color, texture, and ergonomics.Assist with building prototypes and other physical models using various mechanical tools (3D printing, CNC, etc.) that are used to verify designs, conduct prototype testing, and perform customer demonstrations.Test finished product and system capabilities and confirm fabrication, assembly, and final disposition processes.Participate in app and firmware development conversations to help create a digital experience to partner with the device.

What you'll need:Active Engineering student at an accreted university having completed >50% of the requirements needed for graduation with a BS or higher degree.Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related engineering software (Prefer background with Solidworks and CAMworks)Good organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong analytical thinker with demonstrated skill in solving technical problemsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to interface with mentoring engineers and management staff
