What you’ll be doing:
In our co-op program, students complete a series of rotational assignments, alternating between semesters working at Shaw and taking classes with their university. As students advance in the program, responsibilities increase, and projects may be requested that match their skills and interests.
Industrial Engineering/Operations Management: Working on a variety of projects, students offer new perspectives and ideas to improve both productivity and quality. Improvement recommendations often involve costs, logistics, and capital layouts.
Mechanical/Electrical Engineering: Students work alongside other mechanical and electrical engineers, participating in or leading projects related to equipment upgrades, new equipment installations, and predictive maintenance.
Chemical Engineering: Ensuring the highest quality products, students have the opportunity to work with dye lines, laminating ranges, extrusion processes, chemical blending, and quality testing.
Job Requirements:
Minimum GPA 2.5
Must have completed at least 3 or more semesters of college coursework
Must be a full-time student and registered with your university’s co-op or career services office
Obtaining a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Operations, Chemical, or related engineering field.
