Estimated hourly base pay: Level 1: $21.00(minimum) - $26.25(midpoint) - $31.50(maximum)Level 2: $24.11(minimum) - $30.14(midpoint) - $36.17(maximum). Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Spring Winder Machinist (1st shift), we have an exciting opportunity for you.  The Spring Winder Machinist reports to the Operations Supervisor and is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining spring winding machines in an industrial setting. This position operates under close supervision, with limited troubleshooting and decision-making responsibilities. Interaction with external suppliers or customers is minimal.

** This is a 1st shift position, working Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM (4x10 schedule).

What You Will Be Doing 

Set up and operate spring winding machines with minimal supervision, performing required process checks and inspections as per documentation.Complete required paperwork and adhere to record retention guidelines.Use basic Six Sigma tools and methodologies for continuous improvement.Document nonconforming materials and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.Follow all safety standards, regulations, and operating procedures.Use computer systems to enter part data, log time, review instructions, blueprints, and download programs.Follow work instructions, set-up sheets, and method documents to properly operate machines and inspect parts.Use precision gauging tools to verify conformance to engineering specifications throughout the production process.Maintain, clean, and use inspection instruments and ensure parts meet cleanliness and quality standards.Interpret and follow blueprints for production tasks.Perform precision operations on close-tolerance parts.

What We Are Looking For 

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Experience: Level 1: Less than 2 years of related work experience or a trade school degree. Level 2: 2+ years of related work experience required.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.Proficiency in using inspection tools like micrometers, gauges, and comparators.Basic - intermediate knowledge of CNC programming/machining and skills in grinding, turning, milling, or drilling.Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.Familiarity with quality standards and nonconformance procedures.Basic arithmetic skills and strong hand-eye coordination.Ability to use business software and web-based systems for data input and documentation.Effective communication and teamwork skills.General understanding of machine functionality and part handling.
