We are seeking a skilled SPS TOPSIDE CONTROLS SYSTEM ENGINEER to join our team in Norway for a 12-month contract (with potential for renewal). This is a fantastic opportunity to work onsite and contribute to the success of our client's subsea production systems.
Role Overview Design and implement control systems for subsea production systems. Conduct performance analysis and make recommendations for hardware upgrades. Maintain and upgrade servers to align with company goals. Ensure system security and reliability through active directory and Windows server management. Optimize Azure environment for organizational needs. Oversee LAN/WAN/SD-WAN and remote desktop services. Develop automation tools using PowerShell and Git. Maintain up-to-date system documentation. Manage data storage and disaster recovery planning. Provide advanced technical support to end-users. Skills & Qualifications Expert problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of subsea production systems and control systems. Proficiency in network storage, server solutions, and networking technologies. Experience with VPN and remote access technologies. Familiarity with Azure management. Understanding of security protocols and compliance standards. Ability to stay up-to-date on emerging technologies. Familiarity with ITIL best practices. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with a remote team. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree Engineering or related field preferred. ITIL or relevant Microsoft certifications advantageous. Minimum 15 years in the Oil and Gas industry with significant experience in subsea Production Control System, network maintenance, infrastructure planning, Cisco networking, Windows server maintenance, Microsoft networking technologies, and Office 365 management.
