**It's more than a career, it's a calling.** WI-SSM Health St. Mary's Care Center **Worker Type:** Regular **Job Summary:** Supervises staff and daily work activities within the activities department(s). **Job Responsibilities and Requirements:** PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES + Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and staffing levels. + Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring. Assists with hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and termination procedures. + Coordinates delivery of patient care and/or services with other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. + Participates in direct delivery of care depending on patient census. Completes patient evaluations and treatments as needed. + Participates in ongoing short and long range planning to help ensure the organization's social services needs are met. + Ensure departmental compliance with federal and state regulations, regulatory agencies and third-party payers. + May operate a specially equipped vehicle to transport residents in a safe manner to their correct destination; ensuring wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment is operated properly. + Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. + Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION + Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education EXPERIENCE + Four years' experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Constant standing. + Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. + Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. + Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. + Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more). + Frequent walking, reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry. + Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. + Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. + Occasional lifting/moving patients. + Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors. + Occasional driving. + Rare crawling. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment. Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
