The SQL Server Database Developer will be responsible for the migration of SQL databases from MS SQL 2000, 2005, and 2008R2 to MS SQL 2012. This will include the migration of DTS and SSIS packages.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• The right candidate will have strong SQL Server experience with specific DTS and SSIS upgrade knowledge.
-Migrate and consolidate approximately 60 databases from three SQL database versions to the SQL 2012 database.
-Upgrade approximately 100 DTS/SSIS packages
• Standardize data structures, procedures and processes to provide appropriate databases for migrating web application for other team members
• Experience writing reports in Reporting Services
• Experience using Change Data Capture (CDC)
• Experience in data backup and recovery procedures
• Ability to comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly to changes
• Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects, demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Documentation of all aspects of the migrated databases, new SSIS packages, and security will be required for future maintainability.
• Provide knowledge transfer to AHTD on SQL 2012 server
