- Architect robust and scalable database structures and objects based on business requirements
- Create and maintain quality T-SQL code, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers etc. as well as be able to support and enhance and integrate with existing structures and schema
- Communicate with clients, end-users, project managers, and other engineering staff to ensure continuing dialog and promote the discipline of data architecture and integrity
- Review database objects for data integrity, quality, security, recoverability, scalability, maintenance and capacity
- Monitor performance and tuning of highly transactional databases and applications (indexing, configuration, troubleshooting, etc )
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five or more years of experience with working with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 R2
- Very strong skills in writing and optimizing T-SQL code, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers and indexes.
- Hands-on experience with SSRS and SSIS
- Experience in analyzing data and interpreting findings
