Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE):
• Work scope: Limited supplier base
• Lead and develop “own” suppliers under coaching of more experienced SQM person
• Closely collaborate with Sourcing to ensure that product/process quality, technical and business requirements are defined for supplier selection
• Assess potential supplier/s (Gap analysis, pre-auditing etc) within cross-functional teams
• SQM global reference person for the defined sourcing categories
• Manage supplier qualification and documentation process
• Participate in supplier negotiations as required to ensure supplier quality commitment
• Ensure quality annex is updated and integrated in supplier agreement/s in line with KONE business requirements
• Ongoing monitoring of supplier quality performance and validation of measurements
• Drive supplier audits and report identified corrective and development actions
• Assess supplier process risk (FMEA) and define supplier Quality Control plan for existing suppliers
• Ensure KONE Supplier Excellence program targets and deliverables are met
• Ensure compliance and adherence to KONE sourcing (KSO) policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards
• Authority to decide: Create and propose SQM plans for "own" suppliers
Senior SQE (in addition to above):
• Focus in work scope: Wider supplier base
• Lead and develop “own” suppliers
Supplier Quality Manager, SQM (in addition to above):
• Focus in work scope: Leadership of change project activities
• Authority to decide: Create and propose change project plans
Category SQM (in addition to above):
• Focus in work scope: Category leadership activities
• Category SQM is responsible for management of Category matrix SQM team (e.g. Car & Door, Electronics & Signalisation, Mechanics, Machines, Escalator, Spares/TRB), ensuring targets and deliverables are met in accordance to SQM processes and procedures
• Authority to decide: Create and propose SQM plans for Category work
Regional SQM (in addition to above):
• Focus in work scope: Regional leadership activities
• Regional SQM is responsible for management of regional SQM team (e.g. EU, China, India, APAC, ENA), ensuring targets and deliverables are met in accordance to SQM processes and procedures
• Authority to decide: Create and propose plans for regional SQM work
Global SQM director (in addition to above):
• Focus in work scope: Global leadership activities
• Global SQM is responsible for management of global SQM team, ensuring targets and deliverables are met in accordance to SQM processes and procedures
• Create and propose plans for global SQM work
