**About the Role**
**THE POSITION**
The Senior Accountant position will be a key member of the Global Accounting department of Wellington’s Finance department responsible for overseeing accounting duties related to the monthly accounting close, as well as internal and external financial reporting requirements and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn quickly to make an impact and take on increasing responsibilities within the group. Coaching and working closely with the accountants is an important part of this role.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
The Key responsibilities of this position will include:
+ Assume ownership of accounting and reporting for Wellington’s legal entities by performing and detail reviewing accounting tasks, such as journal entries and reconciliation, as well as performing financial analysis
+ Assist in the preparation and review of various financial statements, including providing external audit support such as audit work papers and responding to auditor inquiries
+ Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and quarterly internal management reporting
+ Provide support in the completion of regulatory reporting and assist in the monitoring of regulatory compliance across entities
+ Maintain technical knowledge in the applicable US and international accounting and reporting standards
+ Ensure procedure documentation is prepared and maintained
+ Design and implement process improvements, efficiencies and internal controls
+ Build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of management
**Qualifications**
+ 4-7 years of previous working experience with at least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with strong academic credentials and/or a CPA (or CPA candidate) is preferred
+ Proven ability to master new tasks quickly, coupled with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks under tight deadlines
+ Demonstrated ability to leverage technology to improve processes and financial controls; experience with WorkDay financials is a plus
+ Proven experience in ensuring a strong financial control environment
+ Ability to coach and provide guidance to the staff and team
+ Superior communication skills, including written and verbal presentation elements
+ Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and skill levels

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 65,000 - 150,000
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
