The Senior Accountant will report to the R&D Accounting Manager and will be a key member of a driven team. You will be responsible for assisting the team with various day-to-day activities as well as performing numerous month-end close tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing tasks including journal entries, related reports, and account reconciliations
• Responsible for the accounting of outside engineering, outside testing, billings and capital development for the R&D function
• Interact with operations to ensure that financial statements are complete and accurate according to IFRS standards
• Support the TRATON US R&D carved out and related activities
• Work cross functionally with IPD Finance to review actuals vs forecast
• Work cross functionally with sister brands VW, MAN and Scania
• Work cross functionally with Tax team on the RD Tax Credit and other request
• Learn the new SAP ERP system that will be setup for International
• Create and/or review desk procedures
• Complete special projects as needed
• Prepare ad hoc analysis as required
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degreeAt least 5 years of finance and general accounting experience1 year lead experience

OR

Master’s degreeAt least 3 years of finance and general accounting experience1 year lead experience

OR

At least 8 years of finance and general accounting experience1 year lead experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. • Knowledgeable with MS Excel, including pivot tables and other advanced Excel functions
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Ability to think through problems and recommend solutions
• Knowledge of SAP ERP
• Strong proficiency in the use of data consolidation and reporting systems such as: Essbase, Hyperion, HFM, and Power BI.
