Sr Accountant

This role will be hands on and integral to the accounting operations of Cirrus.  This position will afford the opportunity to get involved in various projects during this exciting period of growth. The Senior Accountant should enjoy a challenging, fast-paced environment, be a team player and have an excellent ability to prioritize individual and team objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the following:

Obtaining and maintaining a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure Managing the month-end and year-end close Maintaining and reviewing monthly reconciliations Assisting with year-end audit Documenting nonstandard accounting activities Providing management with recommendations for continuous improvement in business processes, internal controls and accounting procedures Assisting in accounting research and ad-hoc reports as required Actively participating in the budget cycle Developing positive working relationships throughout the Company Other responsibilities as required Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance Special Emphasis/Preferred qualifications could include: Factory Service Center & Commissions Warranty/Deferred revenue Customer facing services Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance

     Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum four years’ experience with evidence of increasing responsibility. Experience in public accounting preferred. CPA/CMA license and IFRS experience is a plus. At a minimum, an in-depth knowledge of US GAAP is required.

Demonstrated Proficiencies/Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak the English language. Additionally, the following skills are desired:
