About the right team memberWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Revenue Accountant to lead our accounting operations with hands-on expertise. The ideal candidate will bring technical accounting knowledge and strong analytical skills to enhance our dynamic, scalable, and efficient accounting team. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will be comfortable autonomously navigating diverse tasks and collaborating across the accounting department and cross-functionally, as well as handling ad-hoc projects with flexibility and expertise. Key responsibilities include recording, monitoring, and reconciling revenue transactions in accordance with US GAAP and company policies. A significant aspect of this role is ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including the preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. About the roleRecord, monitor and reconcile revenue transactions in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.Complete month end reconciliations of deferred revenue and accounts receivable for both B2B and B2C revenue streams.Review current revenue recognition processes/procedures and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and timeliness of month end close.Direct ownership and accountability for the accuracy and integrity of the reported revenue.Identify trends and provide actionable insights to substantiate month over month variances.Monitor and ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Ensure proper business controls are in place and assist in the implementation of new controls and procedures when necessary.Assist in the development of company accounting policies and monitor adherence to existing Company accounting policies and procedures.Work closely with the tax, FP&A team to ensure alignment on financial reporting and revenue related matters and partner on Annual Operating Plan forecasting.Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and reviews, providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.Participate in or lead ad-hoc projects related to financial reporting, process improvements, or system upgrades as needed.Skills & experience4+ years of experience in finance, accounting or related fieldProven experience in revenue related roleKnowledge and understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606A hands-on style and the ability to prioritize and deliver results in a fast-moving company with a wide variety of strategic initiativesExcellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, from staff to executives, and manage relationships with external partiesA team player, adept at building relationships across the organizationHighly detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and proactive. Must have a strong work ethic and be able to meet critical deadlines.Highly proficient in MS office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPointExperience in NetSuite or equivalent ERP applications a plus.
