This position is open to telecommuters nationwide. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Preference may be given to people in the Eastern or Central time zones.
Primary Responsibilities:
Regulatory Filings - prepare small and large group rate filings Pricing Analysis - perform periodic analysis of the projected experience by line of business Rate Implementation - update and maintain the rating systems for both small group and large group Product Pricing - perform pricing of new products and/or plan designs using the company’s proprietary medical and pharmacy benefit pricing tools Competitive Analysis - gather and analyze rate and plan information for primary competitors Communication - able to interact with business partners, and represent actuarial effectivelyYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree 2 or more actuarial exams passed 2+ years of actuarial experience Experience communicating technical information to business partners (Finance, Underwriting, Sales, Product) Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in MS ExcelPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with ACA pricing and rate filling Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with SQL or similar programming language Proven good communication/presentation skills Proven excellent project management and prioritization skills*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
