Sr Advanced Certification Engineer
As a Sr. Advanced Certification Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance and certification of aerospace products in the Aerospace (AERO) business unit. Your expertise in certification processes, regulatory requirements, and technical knowledge will be essential in obtaining and maintaining the necessary certifications for our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, regulatory authorities, and customers to ensure that our products meet the highest safety and quality standards.
You will report directly to our Certification Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on a hybrid work schedule. Other available locations include Phoenix, AZ and Clearwater, FL.

Key Responsibilities
+ Review and approve certification documents and processes for software, systems, and hardware qualifications in compliance with industry regulations.
+ Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance for systems, qualification, and software development.
+ Support Continued Operational Safety (COS) initiatives by coordinating with various stakeholders, including COEs, ISC, ODA, and OEMs.
+ Perform and support audits to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to contractual obligations.
+ Drive the deployment of new airworthiness regulations and address systemic certification issues.
+ Strengthen and maintain relationships with national and international Certification Authorities and participate in industry regulatory committees.
+ Contribute to the Product Assurance Airworthiness & Certification (PAAC) Management Operating System initiatives.
+ Ability to travel up to 10%.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $162,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
+ 5+ years of experience in the development and/or testing of airborne systems or real-time embedded software for aerospace certification.
WE VALUE
+ Electrical, Electronic, Computer, Computer Science, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial engineering degree preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, including FAA TSO Order 8150.1, 14 CFR 21 subpart O, ARP-4754, DO-160, and/or DO-178.
+ Experience working directly with Certification Authorities (FAA, EASA, etc.).
+ Deep understanding of aircraft systems operations and avionics products.
+ Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
+ Strong collaboration skills, working with Product Engineers, Program Managers, Customers, and Certification Authorities to foster positive relationships.
