As a Senior Advanced EMC Design Electrical Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of our products. You will be responsible for designing and implementing EMC solutions to meet regulatory requirements and customer specifications. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute EMC Control Plans, EMC filter design including lightning and HIRF (High Intensity Radio Frequency) protection, perform RF related circuit analysis, evaluate mechanical and electrical designs for EMC Design best practices, and provide technical expertise to resolve EMC issues.
\n\nYou will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you will work out of our Clearwater FL Minneapolis MN, Phoenix AZ, Norcross GA or Olathe KS locations. This role is eligible for hybrid work mode, except for the first 90 days.
\n\nIn this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our product development and compliance efforts. You will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet demanding EMC standards, minimizing the risk of electromagnetic radiation and susceptibility, and ensuring the reliable operation of our products in an all-inclusive EMC/EMI/lightning environment including those described in MIL-STD-461 and DO-160.

\n\n\n\tDesign and implement new EMC solutions for products to meet regulatory requirements and customer specifications.\n\tCollaborate with world class cross-functional teams to develop and execute EMC design plans and EMC Design best practices in all aspects of the product design (mechanical, printed board assembly layout and routing, interconnect, signal integrity)\n\tPerform EMC analysis to aid the electrical and mechanical designers to meet or exceed the EMC requirements and resolve issues as needed. \n\tProvide technical expertise and guidance to validate the need for specific EMC-related regulatory requirements.\n\tMeet or exceed compliance with EMC standards and regulations for our customers.\n\tDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EMC design processes and efficiency.\n\n\nBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL

\n\n\nYOU MUST HAVE
\n\n\n\tBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics\n\tMinimum of 5 years of electrical design experience with a focus on EMC compliance\n\tProficiency in EMC analysis related to EMI/EMC/lightning filtering and design at the circuit and PBA level.\n\tExperience in EMC simulation and modeling tools (examples include use of LTSpice, Mathcad, EMA3D, etc.)\n\n\nWE VALUE
\n\n\n\tMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.\n\tExperience with EMC design in aerospace or defense industries.\n\tKnowledge of DO-160 and MIL-STD-461 design and compliance documents\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\tBasic understanding but not necessarily mastery, of power supply, analog, digital, data bus, and RF circuits\n\tKnowledge of Boeing and Airbus internal EMC test requirements\n\tStrong knowledge of EMC standards and regulations.\n\tExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.\n\tEffective communication and interpersonal skills.\n\tStrong understanding of electromagnetic theory and principles\n\tSelf-starter with ability to be self-directed and drive projects to conclusion from start to finish for the EMC Design function\n\tAbility to effectively mentor junior engineers for EMC Design\n\n\nABOUT HONEYWELL
