\nAs a Senior Advanced Project Engineer for the Defense Surface Navigation Systems Team, you will be integral in supporting the development of system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers while beating the project cost, schedule, and technical goals. Our team is fully integrated in every aspect of a product’s life cycle – from working with a customer on a concept and subsequent proposal, through development, verification, production, and even obsolescence refreshes. You will work across disciplines within the Electronic Solutions Engineering Sensing, Guidance and Navigation business to drive growth and reach critical business milestones.
\nThis position will be based out of Clearwater, FL.
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\n\nUsing your project leadership skills and technical engineering aptitude, you will be instrumental in guiding and managing advanced engineering projects for our Surface Navigation product portfolio\nParticipate in and lead proposals and cost estimation, schedule preparation, and resource forecasting\nClearly and concisely convey subtle or complex messages via presentations and in writing to a variety of audiences including leadership and external customers\nConsult with suppliers, cross-organizational teams, and international partners to ensure product and project compliance\nProvide project oversight of day-to-day activities to achieve on-time and on-budget execution\nOversight of risk management process and baseline change processes\nDrive the EVM (Earned Value Management) process and effective management operating process (MOS).\n“Jump in” and support technical team as needed with removing and/or escalating project roadblocks\nIdentify and execute cost, schedule, and technical efficiency improvements\nTravel within US and/ or internationally: 10%\n\nUS CITIZEN REQUIREMENTS
