KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
•\tProvide formulating expertise and operating knowledge to solve global customer problems and support sales in insulation foam applications
•\tPlan and conduct voice-of-customer interviews, define value proposition of Honeywell products in foam and insulation applications
•\tIdentify technology opportunities in different foam applications and initiate projects for business growth by working closely with the commercial team
•\tLead, plan, and execute foam insulation technical service and growth projects, with significant knowledge about polyurethane, polyisocyanurate and thermoplastic foams
•\tLead development of foam innovative and breakthrough technical program
•\tActively providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior scientist/engineer in the global team
•\tRepresent Honeywell in trade associations, government bodies, and material standard organizations
•\tAct as key liaison and “point person” for research and development programs among global team
•\tGenerate new technology and ideas leading to intellectual property including patents
In 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.
The annual base salary range for this position is $122,000 - $153,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
YOU MUST HAVE
•\tMinimal Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related field
•\tMinimum 10 years of formulating or technical experience in polyurethane foam industry
•\tExperience in technical publication and presentation
•\tExperience leading and working in a diverse and global cross-functional team setting
•\tStrong and thorough understanding of business acumen
WE VALUE
•\tMaster’s degree in relevant field. MBA is a plus
•\tBoard knowledge of engineering principles with different insulation production setup
•\tThorough experience and knowledge of foam insulation equipment
•\tEstablished network in polyurethane and foam industries
•\tExperience of handling and usage of raw materials and products for insulation foams
•\tStrong leadership and project management skills
•\tProficient in SFDC and project management skills
•\tEffective customer-facing and communication skills
•\tStrong understand of foam industry regulations
•\tExperience in IP evaluation and filing process
•\tExperience in statistical experience design
•\tUnderstanding of ISO quality assurance and quality control
•\tExperience in HS&E aspect of laboratory and production setting
•\tUnderstand of sustainability impact and measurement method, such as LCA, of insulation foam
•\tWillingness to travel
