What you will do:
Provide senior technical expertise for all Liquids Pipelines NDE related techniques, construction specifications and operation and maintenance manuals.
Implement an efficient, aligned approach to NDE management from construction through to abandonment.
Support operational compliance and quality with respect to NDE execution (support to internal system audits, project-specific field construction audits, and direct interaction/involvement with federal and state regulatory personnel).
Provide training and mentoring to Enbridge personnel to enhance understanding of NDE.
Participate in industry forums and industry code or standard committees (PRCI, API, CGSB, JIP’s). Develop and maintain strong industry representation, interaction, and drive action from other industry peers.
Lead advancement of standard processes by providing prudent recommendations for change based on solid understanding and practical experience, sensitivities to noncompliance risks, past issues, industry trends and quality issues, regulator and others’ perceived interests
Disseminate technical advancements of new technologies and practices through publications and presentations in industry research and standards organizations.
Who you are:
Engineering degree or technical diploma.
8 years of related experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
Thorough technical proficiency and working experience with construction and maintenance aspects associated with API, ASME, CSA, etc. standards.
Asset management experience. Familiarity with quality assurance, quality control and continual improvement.
Ability to be responsive and effective in solving technical queries.
Initiate and manage change, innovate, think strategically, negotiate, influence and work well within larger/smaller teams, act with focus and priority on Enbridge’s primary interests.
Effective interpersonal skills that include communication and being a teammate.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with occasional travel (up to 4 times per year).
