The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team: 

The Enterprise Services (ES) Controller Organization is seeking a detail-oriented and enterprising professional to join the General Accounting Team. The ES Controller organization holds overall responsibility for safeguarding the assets controlled by the Enterprise Services group and ensuring the accuracy of reported financial results and transactions, as well as compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley section 404.

The position entails general accounting support, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, financial reporting, and audit support. This role necessitates strong analytical skills, the ability to work with detailed data, complex problem-solving abilities, creativity, and effective time and resource management skills. It is a critical and challenging role with opportunities for growth.

What You Will Do

Supporting the reconciliation activities and close processes of the ES General Accounting team.

General Ledger accounting entries.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations.

Bank Account Reconciliations (Domestic and International).

Data analysis and related corrective action associated with the accounting activities above.

Additional responsibilities will include:

Supporting preparation and audit requests for government deliverables such as Incurred Cost Proposals.

Supporting the annual PwC AP Accrual Study & AP Tranche.

Miscellaneous General Accounting tasks such as invoicing, wire transfers, error corrections, reporting, account reconciliations, etc.

A minimum of 2 documented process improvements each year.

PwC, DCAA, and Internal Audit Support, as needed.

Ad hoc projects providing exposure to Corporate Treasury, Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Accounting, Business Accounting, SAP Competency Center, etc.

Exposure to and possible involvement in supporting multiple areas of ES including Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Payroll, Timekeeping, Tax, Global Disbursements, Orders to Cash, etc.

Possibilities of role expansion and rotational opportunities in all Accounting areas of the ES General Accounting team include Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Labor & Payroll, etc.

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field and at least 2 years of applicable experience gained in a Corporate Finance or Accounting environment or an advanced degree in a related field.

2+ years of experience in General Accounting typically gained in a large corporate accounting/finance setting

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer

Prior experience or knowledge of SAP or other major ERP system and previous Raytheon Finance experience is a plus

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

Critical thinking, problem identification, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and ownership of assignment and a desire to improve processes, along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment; must work well with others

Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Confidence with the ability to make sound decisions and the capacity to sift through  complex information to focus on the critical priorities.

Must be willing to work in a hybrid capacity from a major RTX hub (Cedar Rapids IA, Dallas TX, Farmington CT)

This is a hybrid role, eligible candidates must reside near an RTX Hub (Dallas TX, Cedar Rapids IA, Farmington CT).

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
