▶ About This Opportunity

The Senior Analyst Energy Procurement will support department leadership objectives to manage the energy portfolio, including energy procurement, supplier/contract administration, regulated rate reviews and execution of sustainability strategy.  This role will assimiliate data from both internal and external data sources that will enable the Analyst to formulate, implement and execute risk management and strategic sourcing activities necessary to provide lowest landed cost of deregulated and regulated energy.  Analyst will also evaluate costs of all renewable energy options to assist in optimal CO2 emission reduction strategy through Power Purchase Agreements, other renewable energy purchases, as well as providing all REC administration.  Additionaly, the analyst will help with qualification of renewable energy projects by evaluating and/or developing financial models to assess project and market risks.

Ensure optimal energy portfolio pricing through strategic sourcing processes (planning and executing RFPs) for electricity, natural gas, and propaneOrganize market intelligence monitoring through relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and market experts to continuously evaluate and adapt procurement strategiesManage / Evaluate contract compliance, data management and supplier performanceDevelop, deploy and maintain tools to optimize regulated utility rates for $225M portfolioParticipate in negotiations for complex and high-value energy agreementsAssist with development and implementation of renewable energy sourcing in support of company sustainability goalsPerform monthly energy cost variance analysis for actuals versus budget for electricity, natural gas, etc.Establish and maintain communication and relationship with key regulated and deregulated utility partnersProduction of various energy reporting tools to present information to leadership

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

Experience: Energy Procurement, energy/finance analytics, renewable energy, utility tariffsStrong Project management, problem solving, analytical and organizational skillsExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications and thorough working knowledge of database concepts and common applicationsPower BI knowledge is a plus
