Main objective of the position:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Microsoft Active Directory Support Engineer to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and maintenance for our Active Directory (AD) infrastructure and other tools as required. This role involves troubleshooting AD-related issues, ensuring the security and stability of the AD environment, and assisting with user account management and access controls. The successful candidate will have a strong background in AD support and a commitment to delivering high-quality IT services.

What you'll be doing
Technical Support:
Provide frontline support for all AD-related issues, including user account management, password resets, access control problems, and other tools as required.Troubleshoot and resolve AD replication, authentication, and DNS- authorization issues related issues.
Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of AD-related services and applications.
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for AD-related issues and other tools as required.
Maintenance and Monitoring:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as backups, restorations, and health checks of the AD environment. Monitor AD performance, logs, and alerts to identify and address potential issues proactively. Implement and enforce best practices for AD maintenance and security.Security and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry regulations. Conduct regular audits of AD objects, permissions, and policies to ensure security and compliance. Implement and maintain access controls and permissions within AD.User and Group Management:
Manage user accounts, groups, and organizational units (OUs) within AD. Apply and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security policies and configurations. Assist with the creation and management of security groups and distribution lists.Collaboration and Documentation:
Create and maintain documentation for AD configurations, procedures, and support processes. Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users on AD-related topics and best practices. Develop and update knowledge base articles and support documentation.What you'll bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in managing and supporting Active Directory environments. Experience with AD-related tools and technologies, such as Group Policy Management Console (GPMC), DNS, DHCP, ADUC, PowerShell, and Azure AD. Experience with AD integration with cloud services (e.g., Azure AD) is a plus. Strong knowledge of AD architecture, design, and implementation. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving AD-related issues. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and security.Certifications (preferred but not required):
