Sr Analyst, IT HR Systems (Benefits)
Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for analyzing and defining Human Resource (HR) systems (Payroll, ADP Enterprise), functions, processes, and user needs. This requires advanced understanding of Kronos workforce central and other solutions like Time Keeping, Labor Management interface, Leave of Absence module, Labor Scheduling, Time and Attendance, ADP interfaces and Connect software for interfaces.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Meet with business partners, project managers, and vendor partners in order to determine project scope/vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, and lead prioritization of build items. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to stakeholders. Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.  This includes creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the team. Provide orientation to end users for modifications to existing processes and new functionality.  Perform and/or coordinate configuration changes for applications in the area of responsibility.  Define, analyze, and evaluate existing business functions and processes, as well as make recommendations to management on opportunities for process improvements. Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow. Document risks and identify mitigation strategies. Review system design plans for reasonableness and ensue the plans fit with the business requirements.  Conduct research on software and hardware products in order to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts.
  Required Qualifications

Experience: 5 years of experience supporting Kronos workforce central and other solutions. Experience in software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology, and ADP interfaces.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, Management Information System, or related field is preferred.  Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
 

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities Advanced knowledge of HR systems. Advanced skills supporting users in administration of profiles, pay rules, holidays, balances, overtime, tasks, pay codes, building blocks, work rules, pay periods, and all other configuration in Kronos. Advanced knowledge of the workforce integration manager software. Advanced knowledge of applying patches released by Kronos or other HR applications. Advanced understanding of principles of time and attendance, labor scheduling, benefits and other payroll processes in Kronos and other HR applications. Advanced skills supporting pay period close and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) processes. Advanced understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the native Kronos and other HR application’s technical architecture/solution. Advanced knowledge of Genies and ad-hoc reports in Kronos. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.  Ability to work independently and manage workload prioritization in order to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction. Strong communication, collaboration, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
