Key Responsibilities:

Conduct research and complex analysis of legal issuesPrepare and file complex documents, tasks, and/or projects in specialized areaSecure necessary signature/authorizations and approved documentationCommunicate with internal business clients and external vendors as needed within the area of specializationCompose related correspondence for attorneys independentlyRespond to moderately complex requests from outside entities applying knowledge of different jurisdictions (e.g., government agencies, vendors, outside counsel, embassies)Prepare, review, and negotiate complex contracts (e.g., purchase, supply, employment, NDAs)Assist attorneys in the conduct of litigation and internal discoveryOther Incidental duties


Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in law, with 3-5 years’ experience of related experience in an international law firm and/or multinational corporation, while prior experience with pharmaceutical/medical device industry in Korea is preferred.


Additional Skills:

Excellent English and Korean language skills are required.Proven expertise in MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including collaborative and relationship management skillsExcellent independent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skillsSubstantial knowledge and understanding of Edwards’ policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to legalAbility to manage confidential information with discretionStrict attention to detailAbility to interact professionally with all organizational levelsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the department on projectsAbility to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizationsAdhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
