IBM WebSphere Application Server (IBM WAS) , WebSphere Portal and WCM administrator position requires self-motivation and technical proficiency in the installation, configuration and administration of IBM WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Portal and WCM including effective troubleshooting abilities. This position is focused on providing end to end support to the designated application technology stack to ensure maximum uptime for Production Systems. Overall responsible for availability, performance tuning and scalability of the infrastructure.
We are looking for a IBM certified WAS Administrator, portal and WCM admin with 8-12 years’ experience supporting Middleware technologies on Unix and Windows operating systems. The candidate must demonstrate solid experience with system administration, change management, user management and software logistics to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the supported environment. The candidate should be able to provide SME level of support to 1st level Administrators within the team.
The job includes working with the various technology teams, developers, vendors, and management of new landscape setup. The Engineer will be responsible for the administration, installation, configuration of Middleware products on standalone and clustered environment for multiple clients.
Technical Expertise required:
Meets degree/educational requirements or has equivalent work experience for job code8 to 12 years’ experience in relevant Middleware administrationAble to deal with complex issues involving customers and vendorsStrong skills in the administration of Java hosting platforms including but not limited to IBM WebSphere Application Server , WebSphere portal server and WCM administrator.Well experienced in common Linux distributions (RHEL, Solaris, Centos, etc.)Perform Installation, upgradation, migration of Middleware productsSupport standard software maintenance and application deployments to prod and non-prod environments by following project management office guidelinesDemonstrate ability to automate and maintain automation for core job functionsAdvanced skills in platform administration tasks including installation, patching, clustering, log-shipping, and tuningAbility to work well within a team environment and participate in team projectsPerform related duties as required and provide off-hours support for Middleware related issuesIdentify Root Cause and be able to apply preventive actions for environment specific ProblemsAvailable for off-hour deployments and provide 24x7 on-call production support for mission and business critical applicationsExperience and Key Responsibilities:

Installation, configuration and management of IBM WebSphere Application Servers, Liberty profiles, IBM HTTP Servers, Apache/IIS on Windows, and Linux Operating SystemsAutomation of MW environment provisioning & application deploymentsTroubleshooting BAU issues with respect to applications.Major and minor fix pack upgrades of different middleware flavorsSSL implementation and certificate renewal activityIdentification & mitigation of risks if there is anyExcellent understanding of ITIL process (Incident, Change and Problem management processes)WebSphere portal server & WCM .
Install, configure, and maintain WebSphere Portal Server software and related components. Implement and manage portal servers, nodes, and clusters.Install, configure, and maintain HCL Commerce Server and manage server farms, instances, and clusters.Keep the portal server software up to date by applying patches and updates.Administer commerce on Windows, Unix server’s environment.Support WCM Version updates/upgrades as per the vulnerabilities report Analysis. WCS versions V7, V8, V9 including the latest Feature Packs and Knowledge of using Admin Console tools etc.SSL certificates management in portal servers, renew the certificates. Good to have experience in venafi tool for certs management.Should have experience configuring WCS Build and Deploy and Dataload Utilities.Package your application as an EAR (Enterprise Archive) file or as a portal-ready WAR (Web Application Archive) file,Understanding of caching mechanism (ability to perform tasks like clearing cache etc.)Troubleshooting to find the right party for incident resolution and assigning to them within the defined SLAProvide technical support to end-users and resolve issues related to portal access and functionality.Analyze logs and proactively address issues.Manage the deployment of code changes and updates to the HCL Commerce Server.Work closely with development teams to coordinate release schedules.Provide training to L1/L2 team and end-users.
