Job Description:Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study preferredCSAM Certification requiredWork Experiences:
4+ years’ IT Software Asset Management experiencePrevious exposure to IT hardware, software and servicesExperience working with IT asset management tools requiredExperience using IBM ILMT, Snow Software and ServiceNowSkills:
Ability to take initiative and successfully manage and execute projectsAbility to plan, coordinate, develop and implement solutions and strategiesEffective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with individuals at various levelsSelf-motivated, with the ability to meet and exceed position requirements under minimal direction and supervisionAnalytical with strong problem solving abilities and creative resolution skillsDetail oriented with a focus on data accuracySolid ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environmentExcellent time management skills, ability to support multiple projects, and effectively manage a large volume of workProficient at identifying anomalies in process or resultsDemonstrates leadership and the ability to provide guidance and enforce governance with peers and counterpartsAbility to influence and gain acceptance and approval of ideas, proposals, and solutions • Knowledgeable of various software licensing modelsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel skillsResponsibilities:
Create, update and have overall ownership of the process for tracking IT software assetsCreate and enforce governance of the IT Asset Management programResearch industry best practices to establish benchmarks for managing IT assetsBe able to effectively communicate asset management purpose and governance to team members and stakeholdersAssess the impact any proposed changes to the infrastructure may have on software licensingIdentify costs for current IT assets in use and create reports showing total cost of ownershipDrive software audit readiness, license and cost modeling for volume licensing agreementsContinuously monitor and report on Effective License Position for Software installed in the environmentCommunicate principles of software audit readiness, reports and KPI’s related to the IT Asset Management programExecute internal and vendor driven software audits with software license stakeholders and software vendorsTrack and maintain copies of software license entitlements, warranties, hardware and software maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts to ensure license compliance.Perform usage monitoring of all IT software assets escalating compliance violations or harvesting opportunitiesGenerate, distribute, and review relevant management reports.Investigate and resolve exceptions and accuracy issues in a timely mannerPhysical Requirements & Attendance:
