The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that financial planning, guidance and system oversight is executed, monitored and closed in alignment with the overall merchandising and new store project timing, constraints and requirements. This includes responsibility for the end to end Project Authorization Requests (PAR) and financial system (PeopleSoft) lifecycle
management. This role is critical to Lowe's as it ensures that the required financial requirements are in place and monitored to enable on time project installation and execution.
**What You Will Do**
+ Serve as a subject matter expert on financial and accounting practices offering strategic guidance to business partners and leadership while ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Apply expertise, particularly regarding Capital vs Expense expenditure allocation for reset budgeting and PAR creation.
+ Collaborate with Finance, Project Management, and Accounting to analyze financial reporting from purchasing software (PeopleSoft/Oracle) to provide accurate forecasts and accrual information, ensuring alignment with finance expectations and project goals. This includes business critical Month End reporting we provide to ELT and Investor Relations.
+ Leverage deep expertise to interpret documentation and reports, create dashboards from multiple data sources, and generate comprehensive category performance reports, while effectively communicating actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership to drive informed business decisions and enhance financial operations.
+ Initiate, route, amend, and validate Project Authorization Requests (PAR) while ensuring alignment with the approved annual operating plan, monthly forecasts, Capital Asset Accounting guidelines.
+ Provide guidance and governance to the allocation of new funds and strategically manage the reallocation of funds between projects as needed.
+ Evaluate and execute monetary approvals within Oracle and Service Channel for individual projects related to PARs and store requests, and change requests ensuring compliance with financial thresholds up to $25,000 per requisition.
+ Execute the daily upload of store orders, flagging high-dollar orders for review to minimize forecast overspend before processing.
+ Manage and validate activities within the financial purchasing tool (PeopleSoft/Oracle) to ensure error-free management and efficient execution of Project Authorization Requests (PARs), Purchase Orders (POs), requisitions, vendor and store uploads, invoices, match exceptions and stakeholder communication.
+ Partner with Expense vendors to ensure timely and accurate invoicing to support forecasting and accruals, and PO and PAR closures.
+ Identify root cause of spending discrepancies, present variance impacts, and recommend actionable mitigation strategies to business partners and leadership. Utilize trackers and reporting to pull out themes, provide coaching, to mitigate risk for misallocation and legal.
+ Perform the closure process for PARs and POs, relieving the portfolio of commitments, mitigating the risk of project overspend and PAR shopping, and conducting post-mortem financial analyses to present insights and improvement recommendations to partners and leadership.
+ Provide guidance and governance with Collateral racking team to ensure bulk buys that are stored in the warehouse are allocated correctly per Lowe’s and SOX guidelines
+ Utilize Display Line and Reset reporting to identify additional prebuy items to maximize Capitalization opportunities for Lowe’s, and ensuring all these order follow Accounting Capitalization guidelines.
+ Drive measurable and sustainable process improvements, fostering a culture of efficiency through the sharing of best practices within the team.
+ Contribute to the development and implementation of new tools and capabilities, ensuring recommendations are effectively delivered to business partners.
+ Receive timely and actionable feedback and coaching from the Money Management Manager to support ongoing professional development and enhance role performance.
+ Build and maintain robust relationships with project managers, accounting, finance, and collateral teams, fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration.
+ Oversight of the daily activities of the SSC-B team and accuracy of work for SSC-B partners including but not limited to validation and processing of POs and PO Change requests; Vendor onboarding and Service Provider mailbox management; Display Line reporting and insights; Match Exceptions reporting and actions; Open PO reporting for overdue invoicing; Reporting for Archway inventory and variance reconciliation against our GL account; and helping to capture and document information so SSC-M team can interpret, problem solve, and communicate.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
+ 5 years of experience in finance or related filed
+ 5 years of Retail Experience
+ 3 years Corporate and/or retail finance experience with adherence to federal, state, local and SOX guidelines.
**Preferred Skills/Experience**
+ 1 year of Corporate and/or retail finance experience with adherence to federal, state, local and SOX guidelines.
+ Master's degree in finance, accounting or business management

Pay Range: $72,400.00 - $120,900.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
