Primary Purpose PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Coordinate the bi-weekly payroll for 28,000 employees from start of the cycle to confirm (when checks are printed). This includes special payments issued quarterly and annually. Manage daily workflow of payroll processing to ensure deliverables that comprise the bi-weekly pay cycle. Acts as a liaison with Payroll Operational Support to monitor and assist in the delivering of process improvement initiatives. Provides back-up to the Manager-Payroll Processing. Primary Duties PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Coordinate the daily tasks of the bi-weekly processing of payroll checks to confirmation (SME on Peoplesoft payroll configuration, inbound and outbound feeds, query and report validation, etc) (35%) Responsible for processing the Executive payroll which encompasses all executive compensation payments that are processed through payroll. Primary point of contact for active and termed executives for Payroll. (20%) Coordinate the exception processing, annual special payments (LTIP and DCP Distributions). (15%) Provide direct assistance with Operational Support team on Payroll specific system changes and configuration. Develop and implement process improvements as deemed beneficial to Payroll. Continue to look for ways to improve efficiencies and/or reduce unnecessary expenses. (15%) Provide business user sign off for all new configuration, system enhancements, tax upgrades, etc. (5%) Responsible for miscellaneous tasks: BCP Coordinator, SME on Archiving, Primary contact with Check Print vendor, which includes monitoring inventory and tracking invoices as well as maintaining the day to day relationship. (5%) Provide full assistance and support with internal and external audit requests (5%) Job Scope JOB SCOPE Coordinate the bi-weekly payroll that averages $115 Million each bi-weekly run Responsible for accurate and timely delivery of all payroll checks and related special payments. Works independently or under minimal supervision. Leadership Support and guidance for 7 Payroll Analysts and 2 full-time Bargaining Clerks Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field and 4-7 years of relevant experience. In lieu of degree, 6-9 years of relevant experience In-depth knowledge of applicable payroll applications Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent Communication skills Ability to delegate and lead a small team on specific tasks Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS PeopleSoft experience Proficient in query writing Excellent analytical skills Benefits Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors:USD $82,400.00/Yr. - USD $123,600.00/Yr.
