Summary:
Duties include but are not limited to scheduled/unscheduled aircraft maintenance on all aircraft systems; turbine engine, airframe, flight control/landing gear, troubleshooting systems, daily/turnaround inspections, perform corrosion inspections and related treatment, washing/cleaning, servicing aircraft fuel/oil/hydraulic/oxygen/nitrogen systems, Structural repairs and component in-house repair/back shop programs.
Required Education and Experience:
The qualified applicant must have a minimum of five (5) years aircraft mechanic/avionics level experience with FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
Recent Corporate turbine powered aircraft experience to include Gulfstream, Global, Challenger, Falcon, Hawker, Lear, Citation, King Air, and other types of corporate business jets Ability to read and use schematics and blueprints, problem solving and troubleshooting skillsIsolation, installation, fabrication, modification, on Global 6000 aircraft airframe and avionics systems preferredInspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in a high-quality and efficient manner on aircraft airframe and avionics systemsTroubleshooting using various tools such as circuit testers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, etc.Utilize a strong understanding of electronic theory to effect timely repairs Research maintenance task instruction guidance and parts required in manufacturer's maintenance manuals to perform the required tasksIdentification or tagging of all aircraft components when removed from an aircraft undergoing maintenance or modificationAbility to travel to and from other locations to conduct aircraft maintenance when to necessaryStrong working knowledge and understanding of the Federal Aviation RegulationsExcellent communication skills, both written and oral.Ability to work in hot and noisy environmentAbility to work in tight spaces, work at elevated heights, lift, balance and carry 50 lbsBombardier Global 6000 experience preferredHigh School graduate or equivalent requiredAvionics background a plus Must have Airframe & Powerplant License Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have a current civilian driver's license and be able to obtain and maintain a government flight line driver’s license.Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim DOD secret government security clearance as a minimum prior to hire.Must have an in-depth knowledge (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations.Must have an in-depth knowledge of using aircraft technical publications—read, interpret, follow and basic comprehension of schematic diagrams, drawings, and charts. Must have a working knowledge (input and extract data) of maintenance database technology.Physical Demands:
This maintenance classification activity is usually accomplished in a flight line-like environment with extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50lbs. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close and peripheral vision, and acceptable depth perception.
Work Environment:
The diversity of working conditions range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.
