Sr Benefits Analyst (hybrid work model)

**Overview**
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of benefit support activities. Provides customer support to internal staff. Assists with other projects as assigned.
Researches, analyzes, evaluates, and administers corporate benefit plans and programs to meet the organization's strategy. Analyzes current benefits trends to estimate impact on organization and tracks applicable benefits legislation. Provides reports to management regarding employee benefits data findings. Possesses a high degree of financial analysis.
Conducts day-to-day administration of health and welfare benefit programs (e.g., medical, prescription drugs, life, accident, COBRA, and disability) and 401(k) retirement program. Resolves complex issues. Provides benefit plan interpretation, guidance and counsel to employees. Maintains knowledge of benefit plans and responds to inquiries. May partner with Employee Wellness Committee on activities and programs that tie into benefits. Ensures competitive and cost-effective benefit policies and practices. Designs and delivers benefit solutions and policies in line with the firm's human resources and business strategies.

**Responsibilities**
+ Maintains employee data and works with vendors to resolve coverage issues, and as a resource for employee benefit plan questions.
+ Processes enrollments, terminations, Life Events, status changes, death benefits, FSA/HSA funding, and billing payments for 15+ vendors, 457(f) Plan, and 401(k) non-elective employer program contributions.
+ Monitors and corrects data issues related to vendor file feeds.
+ Assists with 5500 and Form 990 filings; provides employee data, Schedule As, and final review.
+ Assists with annual audits of 401(k) plan
+ Assists with leave of absence administration (e.g., worker’s compensation, short term disability, long term disability) when needed. Counsels employees on leave process and provides them with necessary resources.
+ Assists with all activities related to open enrollment such as system set up, rate set up and communications.
+ Updates Benefits page on jNet intranet
+ Partners with Manager, HR Operations on Fitness and Wellness activities and related communications.
+ Supports Affordable Care Act reporting needs by updating compliance and 1095’s.
+ Assists with 2025 implementation of new payroll and benefits system.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required.
+ Seasoned benefits professional with five to six years benefits experience working with both internal and external customers.
+ Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication with a high degree of tact, diplomacy and detail.
+ Ability to clearly present complex information to customers and stakeholders.
+ Proven ability to build and manage vendor relationships.
+ Ability to complete work and solve problems independently with limited supervision.
+ Ability to manage multiple priority projects and identify solutions to meet business needs.
+ Ability to retain confidential information.
+ Must be experienced user of MS Office (Word, Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Joint Commission enterprise HRIS (e.g., UltiPro).
