The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for eliciting, organizing, analyzing, and documenting requirements across project teams in support of strategic business analytics and data platform modernization initiatives. As a key liaison between the business units and the IT Data Management and Analytics department, the Senior Business Analyst ensures that the scope of work requested, including enhancements, defects, and new requests, is clearly documented, communicated, and validated. They should possess a blend of technical knowledge, business acumen, data analysis, and interpersonal skills
Working closely with analysts, engineers, architects and stakeholders, the Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying analytics solutions. The role also involves internal product ownership responsibilities for IT-driven products and may be asked to lead projects and mentor other Business Analysts.
The ideal candidate is curious and driven, has strong analytical skills, and the ability to leverage their understanding of analytics technologies and its application to solve business problems.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a business or IT discipline, or equivalent work experienceRequires 7 – 10 years of relevant work experience and growth; typically within IT or working in relevant positions within business unitsPrefer 4+ years experience as Business AnalystPrefer Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certificationRequires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines / processesPossesses an understanding of IT’s systems and capabilities.Varied experience over different companies, projects, and / or applicationsFamiliar with gathering use cases or user stories through interviews, observations, and interpretation of policies and proceduresSignificant experience turning use cases into functional requirementsAdvanced knowledge and demonstrated use of personal computer software applications including Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
