As part of Financial Management (FM) Transformation, the Data Strategy & Stewardship team is seeking an action-oriented individual with an entrepreneurial and tech-forward mindset to join our Agile team as a Senior Business Analyst.

The successful candidate will help drive the FM Transformation vision, and be part of an Agile team that partners with subject matter experts and technology associates to ideate, design, develop, roll-out, and measure success for the initiative. They will also support the team’s Product Owner (PO) by acting as a voice of business interests within the team. This role will encompass driving delivery efforts across finance, technology, project management, and people management.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:

Work on a small team (~7-10 individuals) to help drive change and transformation to the BU Finance teams by enhancing methodology, process/data flow and technologyAssist with forming the short- and long-term vision for FM’s data strategy and governanceSupport building a consensus and influencing key deliverables that contribute to the vision and strategyUtilize flexible collaboration styles to build a cohesive team and maintain progress.Tackle problems creatively, while being curious to evaluate situations from all angles, and implement new solutionsBuild partnerships with associates across finance, data office, technology, and the businessesDemonstrate capacity to communicate complex and technical solutions to non-technical audiencesLead discussions with: 1) stakeholders to gather requirements for FM development and 2) internal teams to provide FM requirementsEvaluate demanding situations, understand the challenges, and take the necessary risks to meet key milestones. This includes taking responsibility for projects as if they were their own business; making project-level decisions that will be instrumental in keeping pace and setting the stage for future actionsUnderstands that this job is not about knowing the answers, but finding them

What you’ll need:

5-7 years of diversified experience in Finance, Actuarial or other financial management roles; focus on planning & analysis, capital management, or actuarial/financial modelingProblem solving skills; including the ability to identify solutions and alternatives for high priority challenges. Ability to drive progress and navigate with tenacity.Ability to ‘connect the dots’ between the main concepts of finance, treasury, actuarial, risk etc.Aptitude to work independently and lead key parts of the data strategy visionExcellent execution and business partnering skills, along with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated success working on cross-functional teams that achieved long-term goals while managing short-term challengesWillingness to learn Agile execution, innovative technologies, and process re-engineering

It’d be a plus if you had:

Familiarity with data solutions such as Business Intelligence (BI) tooling, cloud-based data offerings, and data governanceExperience with transformation and/or automation initiativesMBA, CPA, or CFA

The salary range for this role is from $90,100.00 to $134,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
