We are seeking a multifaceted individual for the role of Project Manager for Sera Products, which demands a strong emphasis on global project management, reporting, business sense, and knowledge of supply chain management, product management, and finance. We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, effective problem-solving capabilities, and a background in working with serum products. Responsibilities include being responsible for the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific short-term and long-term projects related to the development, improvement, and distribution of Sera products. Additionally, the role requires outstanding customer presentation skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to accomplish project objectives.

A day in the life

Contact Person for Serum Business: Take on the role of the main contact person for all matters pertaining to the serum business, including supply chain, manufacturing, and managing partner concerns. Streamline processes to remove barriers and improve the customer experience.

Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including Account Managers, Associate Project Managers, Customer/Technical Service Representatives, Operations team members, product development, marketing, sales, and supply chain, to develop timelines for special projects and ensure project objectives are achieved. Build client relationships and cultivate customer dedication through well-managed experiences with the BioProduction team.

Continuous Improvement: Find opportunities to improve processes and implement proven methods in project management to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Comprehensive Project Planning: Build detailed project plans, including timelines, and risk management strategies, to be shared with clients and internal teams.

Performance Measurement and Reporting: Apply appropriate tools and techniques to measure performance. Report and raise issues to management as needed. Provide regular status reports to senior management and other team members.

Client Management: Maintain and manage relationships with clients, facilitating effective communication and partnership. Conduct risk management to minimize project risks.

Troubleshoot Technical Issues: Collaborate with technical guides to identify and understand the functional components of the customer’s processes. Align the appropriate Thermo Fisher resources and team members to address and resolve issues promptly.

Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.

Keys to success

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, Business Administration. 

A Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in Life Sciences or related industries.

Knowledge of Sera products and the market is helpful.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proven experience managing projects with cross-functional teams.

Strong interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $84,400.00–$126,550.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
