The Red Lion Team is seeking a Sr CNC Machinist (Commercial) on Second (2nd) shift.

Summary:
Installs, modifies, moves, troubleshoots, repairs and dismantles machinery and equipment according to requisition documentation, layout plans, blueprints or other drawings | Prepares installation site by constructing foundations and aligns and fastens machinery to the foundation using hoists, dollies, rollers, trucks, tools, squares, rules and micrometers | Performs operational tests on newly installed, modified, repaired and moved machinery and equipment to ensure that it meets technical specifications | Fabricates metal parts for prototype equipment based on drawings | Programs PLCs (programmable logic controllers).
Major Position ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties:
Assists with the installation, operation, testing, and adjustment of various types of conventional or automatic machines used to produce precision parts and instruments.Fabricates and modifies parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.Machines parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.Measures, examines, and tests completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specification Basic QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Vocational/Technical Training DegreeEquivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience3-5 years prior experience in similar positionPreferred Qualifications:
Associate's Degree/ Technical Training preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience setting up and operating CNC Mills and/or Lathes.Strong understanding G&M CodesStrong knowledge of insert wear.Ability to change your own tooling (inserts)Ability to use machining measurement equipment (i.e. calipers, depth mics, etc.)Strong understanding of offset changes to ensure quality parts are made. Ability to change own tool holders and touch off tools Basic understanding of GD&T Ability to hand edit programMathematical skills.Technical expertise.Manual dexterity.Physical Stamina.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Leadership skillsPhysical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds. May need to stand for long periods at a timeRequires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilitiesWork may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machineryMay be requested to work a different shiftMust be willing to work outside normal business hours as requireTravel Requirements:
